Matthias Tavel alerts the Minister of Labor to the social plan of Saipol in Montoir-de-Bretagne

MP Matthias Tavel formulated a written question to the Minister of Labour, Full Employment and Integration on the situation of employees of the Saipol factory, located in Montoir-de-Bretagne (Loire-Atlantique).

Since January 2021, the company which produces ester for diesel fuel has initiated a social plan allowing it to lay off twenty-five of the site’s thirty-three employees.

Matthias Tavel reminds the minister that “The State is a shareholder in the Avril group via the BPI; that the Avril group is a shareholder of the Saipol company, which made a profit of several million euros”. And despite this, the dismissals were validated. But Deputy Nupes reveals one aspect of the case. « The management of the Saipol company sent the Dreal a document entitled « bring to knowledge », which would justify the abstention from the dismantling of the industrial tool by the hypothesis of a recovery of the site in the next three years. . »

The implementation of devices like this PES raises questions for MP Tavel. “What are the reasons for which the government validated the dismissals of employees protected against the opinion of the labor inspection services, if it intends to validate those of protected employees whose employment contracts are still in progress, but also the reason why the employees of the SAIPOL factory in Montoir-de-Bretagne did not benefit from the legal regime of long-term partial activity (APLD)? »
