Manosque and Aix-en-Provence summoned to the Mediterranean League

After the call from EP Manosque concerning its elimination from the competition, the Mediterranean League has decided to summon the two teams at the start of next week.

They are due to travel to the Mediterranean League headquarters next Monday. Representatives of the Entente provençale de Manosque and AS Aix-en-Provence have been summoned to explain the disputed match between them last Sunday.

Although victorious 5-2 against Aixois, EP Manosque was sanctioned by the Mediterranean League for having fielded seven transferred players during the meeting, when national competition regulations require a maximum of six transferred players to be presented.

EP Manosque was therefore eliminated from the Coupe de France on Wednesday for not respecting the rules. The Manosquin club immediately announced that it was appealing the committee’s decision.

Manosque and Aix-en-Provence will see more clearly after the convocation next Monday, while the fifth round of the Cup is scheduled for Sunday, October 9.

During the draw this Wednesday, it was AS Mazargues who came out of the hat to face the Aixois. The Marseille club plays in Regional 2, a division above AS Aix-en-Provence.
