The release date has just been revealed by the famous platform: after a wait of several months, season 4 of Manifest will be available to stream on November 4 for all Netflix subscribers. The trailer, mysterious and all in suspense, has also been revealed.
The news has just fallen, only a few days ago: the release date of part 1 of season 4 of Manifest was revealed by the Netflix platform on Twitter. The interpreter of Robert Vance in the series, Daryl Edwards, had also amply teased on his Twitter account new information to come concerning the progress of the series. It is now done. What new features were unveiled this Sunday, August 28 for this upcoming season? We tell you everything.
Thrilling trailer and release date revealed
The red « N » platform thus announced the « imminent take-off » of season 4 of Manifestwith a ready-made formula in a Twitter post. The release date has also been revealed: spectators will be able to find the passengers of flight 828, through the first ten episodes of season 4 at first. But that’s not all, since Netflix has also shared the exciting trailer for the adventures of Josh, Jack, Melissa and even Athena, to the delight of fans.
As a reminder, in the series, the crew and passengers of Montego Air Flight 828 land safely in New York, after a turbulent flight from Jamaica. They soon realize that in the few hours of flight, the world has changed…by more than five years. All their loved ones thus thought them dead and mourned. The more time passes, the stranger their reality becomes. At the heart of their singular story, a mystery that remains unsolved, even at the end of the third season…
In the vein of the famous series Lost, Manifest had not been an immediate success when it was released in 2018. It had taken some time to find its audience. First released in the United States, the first two seasons of the series had worked rather well, but not in France. Broadcast on NBC across the Atlantic, season 3 did not have the success expected by the producers, which led to its cancellation. However, it has experienced renewed interest from viewers since its arrival on Netflix, which is now producing it and will release season 4 exclusively (much like the platform had done for Lucifer).
The showrunner of the series ManifestJeff Rake, had also given an interview to the magazine TVLine and revealed some information about the plot of this fourth (and probably last) season. And in particular the evolution of a particular character, Ben:
« You can picture Ben in Season 4 seeking revenge for his wife, trying to make sense of the inexplicable, and that becomes the driving force behind the character, not just in Season 4, but also in retrospect throughout the second half. from the Serie. »
On the French side, there is a similarity between Manifestpublished in 2018, and the novel that won the 2020 Goncourt Prize, The Anomaly. Indeed, Hervé Le Tellier’s story follows a similar plot: one day in June, an Air France Boeing which had just crossed an area of intense turbulence was refused landing at Kennedy Airport, and was forced to land on a military base, where the crew and passengers are placed in temporary detention by the American secret services. The reason ? A few months earlier, in March, and still after enormous turbulence, the same plane had landed in New York. The passengers and the crew realize that they have a double of themselves already present on the planet… Strange, isn’t it?
If there is no question of « double characters » in Manifestthe writers of the series have nevertheless imagined an explanation, and all the answers should finally be provided in the highly anticipated season 4, part 1 of which arrives on November 4 on Netflix.
