Magic Johnson’s cash claim on the Lakers’ latest rookie!
Former of the house of the Lakers, Magic Johnson observes carefully the strategy of the Purples and Golds in the free agency. The latest rookie in particular made him react, and the Hall of Famer dropped a big statement on Twitter.
Whatever happens to the Kyrie Irving file, the Lakers must imperatively strengthen their workforce. The latter had been built to form a superteam last summer, but it simply never worked this season. It is therefore necessary to completely rebuild around the hard core led by LeBron Jamesand finding the right role players has been one of the top priorities for managers since the opening of the free agency.
After having had to follow the galleys of his ex-franchise in 2021-22, Magic Johnson clearly hopes for a turnaround next year and is therefore following very closely what is happening on the side of the Californians and their front office. An arrival in particular attracted the attention of the former leader, namely that of Thomas Bryant who is the latest recruit. His eldest was thus absolutely overjoyed on social networks:

Obviously, and unlike the fans who are furious, the Hall of Famer sees with a very good eye the movement of the Purple and Gold house. In the case of Bryant, it is moreover a return to the fold since the latter had made his debut in the City Angels. His injury history at the Wizards, however, caused his rating to drop drastically in the market, which is why Rob Pelinka & co. were able to sign it so easily.
However, if he can finally overcome his physical fragility, Magic is convinced that the big man would be an excellent addition to the angelino racket. However, he is not the only one to have received praise from the five-time champion, among the new faces of the Crypto.com Arena. Arriving from Spurs, Lonnie Walker was also enthusiastically greeted by No. 32. The latter is particularly excited by the physical profile of the playmaker:

Clearly, Magic Johnson is pretty smitten with recruiting the Lakers so far. Thomas Bryant and Lonnie Walker are of particular interest to him, and we can be sure that he will follow them very closely next season.
