Mady Touré: « Sadio Mané at Bayern Munich, a signal for African football »

The transfer of Sadio Mané to FC Bayern Munich (German elite) is a positive signal for African football in general and Senegalese in particular, supports the president of Génération Foot, Mady Touré.

« It’s good to see a footballer trained on the continent sign in one of the best clubs in the world », reacted the president of Génération Foot, in an interview with APS.

Mané, 30, signed a three-year contract on Wednesday for Bayern Munich (German elite), thus leaving Liverpool (English elite). Saying he was « very happy » for the Senegalese striker, Mady Touré said he was in tune with his decision to go to the Bundesliga, a championship he had almost joined when he was already playing in Salzburg (Austrian elite).

« There was already talk for him of continuing his career at Bayern or Dortmund, but he had this great career plan that led him to Liverpool, one of the biggest clubs in the world, » he said.

At the Reds, he has already won everything and in fact represents a good example for young African footballers who should set no limits, he added.

« Today, with this signing, he is promoting African football in one of the biggest teams in the world, » he said.

Through him, he says, African footballers, in general, and Senegalese, in particular, must realize that they can conquer the biggest clubs and the biggest trophies in world football.

“I wish and pray that he will have greater success than at Liverpool, winning all the trophies and helping the national team achieve their greatest goals,” he said.
