Madden NFL 23 will be released on August 19, John Madden back on the cover
That there is a new sports game based on American football at Electronic Arts will not surprise anyone and yet it was awaited by all fans of the discipline. Madden NFL 23 does exist and the title has just presented its first trailer while revealing the star present on the cover. Here is the first known information.
The FieldSense system features
In addition to the first images and a release date, Electronic Arts also presented one of the first novelties of this new component: the technology FieldSense. Only available on next-gen consoles, namely PS5 and Xbox Series X|S (like HyperMotion on FIFA 22), it improves playability by offering better control at each position.
Concretely, the FieldSense technology aims to bring more realism to the field with more fluid gameplay and more lively animations. This incorporates other technical terms such as Hit Everythinga system that improves the defensive aspect, 360 Cutswhich allows you to change direction while controlling the ball carrier or Skill Based Passing, to better pass the ball. What nice words you will say to me, but remember here that it will probably be the most authentic iteration of the series, at least on new generation.
Other improvements are promised, on all platforms, in particular with better modeling of the players and cameras centered on the players, but we will especially remember the presence of Coach John Madden on the jacket. A wonderful tribute for this coach and commentator who passed away last December.
