Liverpool owners want to buy out NHL franchise Pittsburgh Penguins
The group that owns the Reds will have to pay a colossal sum to afford the NHL franchise.
Owner of Liverpool since 2010, the Fenway Sport Group (FSG) wants to buy the Pittsburgh Penguins, franchise of NHL (National Hockey League), reports The Mirror. The Penguins achieve the best television audiences in the United States, in front of all the teams of the NHL and even the NBA. The franchise is estimated at around € 745m and would become the most expensive team in American hockey history, if it were to be sold for that price.
After the Boston Red Sox (MLB), Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing (NASCAR) and therefore Liverpool, the FSG could therefore establish itself in a new sport.
