Liverpool (5th, 63 pts) and West Ham (7th, 59 pts), respectively opposed to Burnley (17th, 39 pts) and West Brom (19th, 26 pts), were playing very big in the race for Europe. The Reds could move up to fourth if successful, while the Hammers could pass Tottenham.
On the turf at Turf Moor, Jürgen Klopp’s men easily won 3-0 thanks to Firmino (43rd), Phillips (52nd) and Oxlade-Chamberlain (88th). The Reds took fourth place in Leicester, with the same number of points but a better goal difference. Finally, at The Hawthorns, West Ham did the job with a 3-1 success to settle in sixth.
