OM lead 2-0 at the break after an ideal first period! A few seconds after Esgaio’s exclusion, Guendouzi converted a penalty, before Sanchez scored the break goal half an hour into the game. The Olympians are in a very ideal position before the second half.
Mbemba covers well
The Marseille defender made a decisive interception at the feet of Santos, served in the right lane.
Sanchez does not count his efforts
Each time he loses the ball, the Olympian striker makes the effort to try to recover the ball, multiplying high-intensity runs.
4 minutes of added time
OM still have time to drive the point home, while Veretout fires a shot in turn.
Corner for OM
New corner kick obtained by Tavares. It is played by two and finally lost by Harit.
Sporting shows up

And 2-0 for OM! If the assistant referee had raised his flag after Sanchez’s goal, the VAR finally validated this break goal, which came from an excellent job by Harit on the right!
Goal denied to Sanchez!
Harit was narrowly flagged offside as he passed to Sanchez, who had extended his cross deep.
Very nervous Sporting
Since the penalty transformed by Guendouzi, the Portuguese have multiplied the faults and gestures of nervousness.
OM in control
With this numerical superiority and this goal in advance, Marseille has time to see it coming and to make its opponent run. OM are temporarily at the top of their group, then Tottenham are hooked by Eintracht Frankfurt (1-1).
Harit arms a tense strike in the axis. Israel narrowly diverts for a corner and passes close to the handball. OM are pushing hard to find the break!

PENALTY FOR OM!
Mowed down by Esgaio in the area, Harit gets a penalty! The Marseillais just extended the ball with the tip of his foot on a pass from Rongier from the right.

The Chilean is found by a long opening from Bailly, but cannot follow up in front of three defenders anyway.
Like a missed pass from Reis, the Portuguese are struggling to enter the last 30 meters of Marseille.
Clauss is looking for Harit

Shifted by Harit, Tavares gets a first corner on a cross from his left lane. Veretout hits directly, it goes just above the crossbar.
OM have the ball
Possession hasn’t worked since kick-off, but the visitors got into their match pretty well.
Mbemba is looking for Rongier
