Live Sport – An Airman suspended for 9 months for doping

snowboard star Shaun White, three-time Olympic champion in the halfpipe, has virtually ensured his selection for the Beijing Olympics, Thursday, by qualifying for the final of a World Cup event, in Laax (Grisons).

White finished 5th in qualifying, while Chase Blackwell, his rival for the 4th and final Olympic ticket, was eliminated. The accounting consequence is that the “Red Zeppelin”, which before this event was the fourth highest ranked American in the world rankings, can no longer be caught by Blackwell, who was fifth.

The United States must select four snowboarders in the halfpipe based on the performance of each.

Crowned in 2018, in Pyeongchang, as well as in 2006 in Turin and in 2010 in Vancouver, Shaun White dreams of a fourth title for what would be his fifth and last Olympiad.
