The promoters of the WEC unveiled this Friday, September 16, the names of the drivers selected to participate in this ‘Rookie Test, organized the day after the last round of the season, on November 13 in Bahrain.
Lilou Wadoux, who is part of the Richard Mille Racing team this season, where she is driving the Oreca 07 with Charles Milesi and until the 24 Hours of Le Mans of the eight-time WRC world rally champion, Sébastien Ogier, was therefore chosen to be behind the wheel of a Hypercar.

Asked, the young pilot confided:
“I am very happy to have been selected. Barely a year ago, I took part in the Bahrain Rookie Test in LMP2 with Richard Mille, while I was racing in the Alpine Elf Europa Cup. It was a big step in my career, since I suddenly found myself behind the wheel of a prototype. I learned a lot. »
And she specifies:
“And there, a new opportunity is offered to me with new tests, but this time at the wheel of a Hypercar. It’s a dream that will come true. I am glad. And then, on a personal level, I’m quite proud to show that women can flourish at the highest level of motorsport. This proves that attitudes are moving in the right direction. I hope that my example will arouse some vocations among young girls. »
Let’s add that another French driver has also been chosen, Doriane Pin, who drives in the ELMS European Endurance Championship, at the wheel of the Ferrari F488 EVO, from the Iron Dames team, the cousin of the Scuderia Iron Lynx!.
