Ligue 2 – Uruguayan defender Agustin Rogel leaves TFC
Agustin Rogel is no longer under contract with the TFC. By mutual agreement, the club of the pink city, second in Ligue 2, and the South American defender of 24 years have agreed on a breach of contract this Thursday, January 13.
The Uruguayan had been recruited in the summer of 2019, the central defender was used ten times in the league before Tef’s descent into Ligue 2. But last season, he failed to convince Patrice Garande who has never used it.
He was loaned to Argentinian club L’Estudiantes de La Plata in February 2021. The purchase option was not exercised by the Argentines for whom the championship ends on December 31 and Rogel was therefore to return to Ramier in 2022.
But this season, Philippe Montanier can count on a solid hinge which has conceded only 18 goals in 19 games championship, notably with Rasmus Nicolaisen, Bafodé Diakité or Anthony Rouault.
