Liga: a minute of silence in the Spanish stadiums after the tragedy in Indonesia
La Liga announced on Sunday that a minute’s silence will be observed in Spanish stadiums before the day’s matches, in tribute to the victims of the disaster at a football stadium in Indonesia.
At least 174 people died in a crowd movement when thousands of fans invaded a football pitch and were sprayed with tear gas. The tragedy, which took place on Saturday evening in the city of Malang, east of the island of Java, also left more than 150 injured in this archipelago of Southeast Asia where rivalries between supporters saw often to disaster.
