Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato: the field supercar
Lamborghini is about to unveil its rugged supercar, the Huracan Sterrato. A teaser campaign has just started and already shows a lot of things…
In 2019, Lamborghini presented a Huracan raised and covered with accessories dedicated to off-roading. A concept initially without a future, which had however been crossed in the form of a prototype camouflaged in the street. Today, Lamborghini officially starts its teaser campaign before the official presentation of the model.
On its social networks, the bull brand publishes a very explicit first video of its Huracan Sterrato. Baptized “Beyond the concrete” (“beyond the concrete”), the spot shows the first images of the Huracan, evolving in an unusual environment for such a supercar. The car is initially on a classic paved road, but takes a dirt road when it is spotted by a young woman on a mountain bike. Then begins a race across the fields between the two vehicles, to reach a beautiful stone house.
Off-road ready
Transformed into a 4×4, the Huracan Sterrato is still under a light layer of camouflage. But impossible not to see the specific body kit: ground clearance raised by a few centimeters, imposing sills and reinforced wheel arches, additional LED lamps on the front bumper, thin roof bars… The Italian supercar is equipped with all-terrain tires, and should be entitled to a specific suspension in addition to the all-wheel drive.
No technical details are given for the moment, but we imagine that the adventurer variant of the Huracan will be equipped with the same atmospheric V10 5.2 as the rest of the range. It remains to know its power level: 610 hp like the Evo propulsion? 640 hp like the Evo with all-wheel drive, Tecnica and STO? Or another number?
Joined by a competitor at Porsche then
Despite all these elements, the Sterrato version shouldn’t leave the road very often… It’s hard to imagine Lamborghini owners going all out on rocky roads, at the risk of damaging the paintwork of their supercar! The presentation of the production model should not delay any longer. We can imagine that it will be unveiled before the end of the year. Subsequently, this Sterrato version will be joined by another supercar transformed into a 4×4: the Porsche 911 Safari.
