Lamborghini begins the festivities for its 60th anniversary.


Founded in 1963, the luxury car brand is set to spend a year full of celebrations. First activation of the manufacturer: an exhibition tracing its history within its museum of Sant’Agata Bolognese in Italy.

World events expected in 2023.

Two years ago, Louis Vuitton began a year full of projects celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of its founder. Last year, Fendi celebrated its iconic Baguette bag through a show, when Moncler, seven decades of existence, notably organized an event bringing together thousands of people in Milan, between artistic performances, parades and new collaborations around Maya jackets.

And 2023 will also have its share of anniversaries to celebrate. If Moët & Chandon will honor its 280 years of life this year, another premium entity intends to celebrate its birth with dignity. Lamborghini, 60 years on the clock, seems to motivate glorify its history that began in 1963 in Sant’Agata Bolognese, a town in northern Italy. The car manufacturer should therefore set up « international events, initiatives and unexpected activities » unveiled « during the year » said Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. To start the celebration operations, the brand is already offering a « new museum destination ».

Go to the heart of his hometown to discover the exhibition « The future begins in 1963 » launched by its museum, located within its factory and head office. 350GT, Murciélago SV, Huracán Performante, Veneno, Sián… 19 cars are presentedspread over three main themes and various passages that have marked the history of the company. « All Lamborghini sports supercars encompass at least one disruptive idea that at first seemed unusual but has been embraced in automotive evolution » mentioned the company. The opportunity for the luxury manufacturer to boost your storytelling and of value his heritage in the eyes of his audience.

This first activation follows a strong 2022 financial year for the premium car brand. Lamborghini has delivered over 9,200 vehicles over the last 12 months, representing a growth of +10% compared to the same period last year. Results that encourage the firm to invest in new projects, as evidenced by the launch of a premium bike in an ultra-limited edition.
