Kyle Larson extends three years

Kyle Larson has signed a three-year contract extension at Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series. The defending champion is tied to the team until 2026.

Kyle Larson had a contract with Hendrick Motorsports running until 2023, but he has just extended for three years with his sponsor, which will be the main sponsor for 35 of the 38 races until the end of the new contract.

Hendrick Motorsports’ winningest driver since joining the team in 2021, Kyle Larson has 12 wins in the #5 Chevrolet Camaro and a championship title last year.

I cannot explain what this opportunity means. The chance to drive for the best team and the best sponsors in motorsport is something every driver dreams of.

Kyle Larson

This Saturday evening in Bristol, Kyle Larson will try to reach the second round of the playoffs. He must score 29 points to guarantee his place among the 12 drivers still in contention for the title.

And now Bowman?

Hendrick Motorsports has extended three of its four drivers, William Byron until 2025, Kyle Larson until 2026 and Chase Elliott until 2027. Rick Hendrick’s team will therefore be able to focus on Alex Bowman whose contract, as well as that of its main sponsor, Ally, expires at the end of the 2023 season. Hendrick Motorsports must also find a new team manager in Alex Bowman, since Greg Ives will hang up at the end of this season.
