Kenya – Women Premier League (J11): Vihiga Queens challenges Thika Queens


It’s a battle of titans that is announced between the defending champions of Thika Queens and Vihiga Queens at Thika Stadium this Wednesday, March 16.

A meeting which is part of the 11th day of the Kenyan Women’s Premier League.

Third-placed Thika Queens are on a revenge mission against league leaders Vihiga Queens who are unbeaten in the 12-team league so far.
Vihiga Queens extended their lead last weekend after beating Kangemi Ladies 5-2 at Mumias Sports Complex. Thika Queens, meanwhile, dropped to third place after a 1-1 draw with Trans Nzoia Falcons. Today’s meeting therefore promises to be full of surprises at 2 p.m. UT.

At the top of the table, Vihiga has 28 points in 10 matches, while Thika is third with 20 points. In other fixtures, Ulinzi starlets host Kayole starlets at Ruaraka ground, hoping to claim their second straight win. The Super Cup champions, who have 19 points, found their way back to victory after beating Kisumu All-Starlets 2-1 with Jentrix Kuyudi scoring twice.
