Something promised, something due. Announced for this Wednesday, the meeting between the interim committee of the Kenyan Football Federation and the leaders of the Premier League clubs took place at the Nyayo national stadium. A moment which made it possible to decide on the resumption of the championship on December 4, 2021 after two weeks of stoppage.

During this meeting, the stakeholders reviewed the topics relating to the resumption of the Premier League. There was also talk of a two-way discussion with the clubs, during which the two sides reflected on the best approaches for the development of Kenyan football. At the end of the discussions, it appears that the Kenyan Premier League will finally resume on December 04, instead of November 27 previously announced by the interim committee.

“We agreed to resume the championship matches on December 4 and we also urged the clubs to comply with the Sports Law (2013) so that they can be transparent in their operation,” said Ali Amour, a member of the FKF interim committee. The committee chaired by Aaron Ringera also met with referees and match officers for better collaboration.
