Keita Baldé suspended for doping control violation


Keita Baldé (27) should not be traveling to Qatar with Senegal. Spartak Moscow striker was suspended by Italy’s national anti-doping tribunal until December 5 for a procedural violation during a doping test while playing in Cagliari “said his club in a press release. Spartak specifies however that no illicit substance was detected in the body of the Senegalese international (40 selections) during this control.

African champion with the Lions last February, Keita Baldé should be prevented from participating in a new international competition with his selection, the next World Cup in Qatar (November 20 – December 18), starting before the end of his suspension. FIFA regulations even stipulate that the player can only resume training 22 days before this deadline.
