Jordan Martinook, Mattias Janmark and Anton Khudobin among 14 players placed on waivers


It’s a roster packed with veterans on the waiver wire Friday, including Jordan Martinook, Mattias Janmark, Anton Khudobin and Andreas Johnsson.

The St. Louis Blues were the most active with waivers today, sending forwards Martin Frk, Matthew Highmore and Klim Kostin to the AHL.

The nine players placed on waivers Thursday were eliminated.

Martinook, 30, spent the previous four seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes but could find himself in the AHL for the first time since the 2014-15 season when he was with the Arizona Coyotes. In 59 games last season, he had six goals, nine assists and 15 points.

Khudobin, 36, is in the final year of a three-year, $3,333,333 cap with the Dallas Stars that hasn’t aged well at all over the length of the contract. Janmark, 29, signed a one-year, $1.25 million contract with the Edmonton Oilers in the offseason after six seasons with the Dallas Stars, Chicago Blackhawks and Vegas Golden Knights.
