John Terry wants to invest 250 M€

John Terry, legend of Chelsea FC, would be involved with one of the candidates for the takeover of the London club. He would even be ready to invest part of his fortune.

John Terry could soon become a major shareholder of the Chelsea club. According to information from the Sun, the former defender of the Blues would consider investing 250 million euros from his personal funds. He would be alongside the True Blues consortium, a community project which aims to participate in the takeover of the London club up to 10%.

John Terry told the English newspaper: “Chelsea has been such an important part of my life for 22 years. I want to see the club’s history and heritage protected as we enter a new era of like-minded people who have the same long-term vision of building the best football club in the world and understand how important our DNA is important” he explained.

A consortium that gives voice to supporters

The True Blues Consortium would launch a community offering platform called CFC Exchange, operated by PrimaryBid, to allow fans to join the program. This consortium aims to work with the potential new owners of the club to buy a minority stake in the club with the help of the investment group Oakvale Capital which supports True Blues financially: « We are united not only in our desire to secure a bright future for Chelsea FC, but also in our ability to put that plan into action. »said Sandford Loudon, partner of Oakvale Capital. “We are a group of seasoned tech entrepreneurs, financiers, high net worth individuals and above all lifelong fans, who want to ensure that anyone who buys Chelsea is held accountable by Chelsea fans” he added.

It’s a group of Chelsea supporters and season ticket holders who have created a concept that will complement and support the future owner while adding a connection with supporters and season ticket holders.
