Joël Matip and Wilfried Zaha nominated for player of the month award


Cameroonian Joël Matip and Ivorian Wilfried Zaha are among the nominees for the Premier League Player of the Month award.

During the month of February, players distinguished themselves in the most beautiful way in the Premier League. The list for obtaining the player of the month award has been unveiled and there are two African players. Cameroonian Joël Matip and Ivorian Wilfried Zaha have been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award for February.

Robust central defender of the Liverpool Reds, Joël Matip continues to impress at 30 years old. The Cameroon centre-back played in all four of Liverpool’s top games during the spell, contributing to four wins and scoring a sublime goal in Leeds United’s 6-0 defeat. Meanwhile, Ivory Coast winger Wilfried Zaha has scored three goals in five games for Crystal Palace.
