Jamie Chadwick, who has dominated the W Series since the beginning of the introduction of this championship, will have the opportunity to test another single-seater, that of the Indy Lights, antechamber of the IndyCar Series.
Britain’s Jamie Chadwick is a two-time W Series champion and leads the championship again this season with a very comfortable lead.

Andretti Autosport will give Jamie Chadwick the opportunity to test the single-seater Indy Lights, a Dallara IL15 chassis which is the category just below the IndyCar Series and which is part of the pyramid of single-seater ascent in addition -Atlantic, the Road to Indy.
« She will test at Sebring on September 21, » said Rob Edwards, Andretti’s operations manager with RACER. « We are excited to give her an opportunity. She is clearly the dominant driver in the W Series and, in our opinion, well deserves a chance to translate that into the next stage of her career. »
Jamie Chadwick is also in Williams’ development driver pool in F1, she has had the chance to try her hand at Extreme E, and will now have the opportunity to drive for Andretti Autosport which in recent years has enabled drivers Colton Herta, Pato O’Ward or Kyle Kirkwood to access the IndyCar Series.

This would be a very good opportunity for Jamie Chadwick to shine in a championship which can open the doors to him of the IndyCar Series, the discipline which has had international media coverage and where a female driver has already imposed herself: Danica Patrick in Japan in 2008.
