« It’s number 1, no debate »: Shaq and Tim Duncan snubbed by an ex-teammate!
[ad_1]
In the career of many players, Shaquille O’Neal and Tim Duncan have been the best partners with whom they have shared the field. Legends of the league, they were however copiously snubbed by a former teammate, in favor of another NBA icon…
When we talk about Shaquille O’Neal and Tim Duncan, we talk about two of the greatest big men in NBA history. Between them, they have accumulated nine championship titles and thirty All-Star Game selections, just that. With such successful careers, one can easily imagine that they were the best teammates in the careers of many former players.
However, although we are clearly talking about legendary interiors, some have had the opportunity to play with the two men and still think that they were not the best teammates they had. The common point between all the teams in which I played was that they always had excellent interiors. If I had to make a top 3 all-time big men, I would put my 3 teammates. Hakeem is #1, no debate on that. He’s a quiet guy so we don’t talk much about him but for me, with his career and his history, he deserves so much respect. He was MVP and he is the greatest blocker of all time.
Obviously, Horry has a high regard for Shaq and Duncan but it turns out that according to him, the best interior among his partners was Hakeem Olajuwon. With the Rockets, the two men were able to get two championship rings in 1994 and 1995, when Horry was only 23 years old. These memories, they therefore remained in the head of Big Shot Rob and he thus pays a beautiful tribute to The Dream.
With his seven NBA championship titles, Robert Horry had the chance to rub shoulders with countless legends. Among them, Tim Duncan, Shaquille O’Neal but above all Hakeem Olajuwon, whom he still considers to this day to be the best interior he has played with…
