Italy leaves its dressing room in a sorry state after its elimination in the play-offs of the World Cup

Thursday evening, thousands of Italians mourned the elimination of their selection in the semi-finals of the World Cup play-offs, after the defeat at the last minute against North Macedonia (0-1). But one of them had a second unpleasant surprise, a few hours after the final whistle which buried the hopes of the Mondial de la Nazoniale for the second consecutive edition. He is an employee of the Renzo Barbera Stadium in Palermo, where the match took place in front of nearly 36,000 supporters.

The cleaner found the Italian locker room in a deplorable state after the match. Dozens of rubbish – including cigarette butts and leftover food – were strewn all over the floor, in the sinks and around the toilets. The person who came to clean filmed the interior to show the extent of the damage. Several Italian media took over the video and the national team took it for its rank in the local press.
