Iron Lynx tests itself with Porsche at Paul-Ricard

By going to the Lamborghini camp in 2024 on a Hypercar program, it had become complicated for Iron Lynx to continue to drive Ferrari in the GTE and GT3 categories. Thus, in 2023, the Italian structure will not put all its eggs in one basket.

It will be Porsche in the WEC – and probably in the ELMS – with the support of Proton Racing, Christian Ried’s team. On the side of the IMSA – and more precisely of the Michelin Endurance Cup – and of the GT World Challenge Europe, Iron Lynx will already drive in Lamborghini. Testing for the upcoming campaign has started at Paul-Ricard with the presence of two Porsche 911 RSRs that have already received their 2023 colors while retaining the Iron Lynx 2022 numbers.

The 2023 program has not yet been officially announced, but the two Porsche 911 RSRs are expected on the world Endurance scene, one for Iron Lynx, the other for Iron Dames.

As for the crews, it is too early to formalize anything even if it is believed that the Italians Matteo Cressoni and Matteo Cairoli rode in the #60. Michelle Gatting, one of the Iron Dames, took the wheel of the #85. Remember that Christina Nielsen was spotted in the Porsche at Portimao in the wake of the European Le Mans Series final, along with Michelle Gatting and Sarah Bovy.
