Investment: « Top-level sport is getting closer to entrepreneurship »


The regional network of investors Mélies Business Angels is organizing the fifth Business Angels Week, the evening of which is sponsored by rugby player Kélian Galletier.

Announced from November 29 to December 3, the fifth « Business Angels Week », organized by the regional network Mélies Business Angels, aims to emphasize the importance of private investment in the local economy.

A group of local private investors, Mélies aims to « to support start-ups throughout their life, and lead them to significant development », explains Jean-Paul Alic, new president of the association. An initiative that will be illustrated, during the inaugural evening of Monday, November 29, by the testimony of four start-ups in which Mélies has invested.

An evening which will be sponsored by Kélian Galletier, third international line of the MHR. The player, holder of a master’s degree in commerce, and owner of a real estate transaction company, has been a member of the Mélies network as an investor for two years. « It will illustrate how top-level sport approaches entrepreneurship, through the importance of collective involvement towards the same goal. »

La Semaine also offers entrepreneurs a speed dating on Thursday, December 2 at MIBI, BIC incubator in Montpellier. Ten members of the investor network will receive start-up creators from the region every half hour.
