Inter Milan take the title

Inter Milan, victorious on Saturday on the lawn of Crotone (0-2) took advantage of the draw on Sunday between Sassuolo and Atalanta Bergamo (1-1) reduced to ten at the start of the match by the exclusion of its goalkeeper Gollini , to win the title.

Because of this draw, and while Luis Muriel missed a penalty which could have given him the victory fifteen minutes from the end, and preserve the suspense, Bergamo remains 2nd at 13 points behind Inter, with 69 points, as much as AC Milan, who won Saturday against Benevento (2-0).

There are only four Serie A matches left to play this season, so 12 points to take, and the suspense is therefore over for this Scudetto, Inter’s 19th.

In the fight for places in the Champions League, Naples was joined in stoppage time by Cagliari on Sunday (1-1) and is now a point behind Atalanta and AC Milan.

In the other two matches of the afternoon, Lazio beat Genoa 4-3 at the end of a festival of goals, at siesta time, then Fiorentina did almost as well in Bologna (3 -3).
