Inter Miami set to sign Messi?

It’s a big bomb dropped by The Times in the middle of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. According to the very serious English media, Inter Miami are on the verge of securing the signing of Argentine striker Lionel Messi, whose contract with PSG expires on June 30, with an option for a one-season extension that the player can decide whether to activate or not.

According to the same source, the American franchise is convinced that Lionel Messi will sign his contract at the end of the World Cup in Qatar, with a view to an effective arrival at the end of his adventure at PSG, namely next summer. The club owned by a certain David Beckham, among others, is preparing to make the 35-year-old Argentinian international (169 caps, 95 goals) the highest paid player in MLS history.

And to finish convincing Lionel Messi, Inter Miami is also considering the recruitment of two other legends of the round ball, namely Cesc Fabregas and Luis Suarez, former Pulga teammates at Barça.

A few weeks ago, The Athletic already explained that Inter Miami was optimistic about signing Lionel Messi, seven-time Ballon d’Or winner. A trend that seems to be confirmed over time.
