An Indian team cricketer who is currently in England is in home isolation after testing positive for Covid -19, The Indian Express reported. The anonymous cricketer is currently in quarantine at his relatives’ home and will join the team later in Durham. The rest of the Indian team will return to their bio-bubble in Durham today.

Sources told The Indian Express that the cricketer suffered from a sore throat which led team management to organize a Covid-19 test, which gave a positive result. Support staff and the team, who had come into contact with the affected player, also underwent a three-day period of isolation, which they have since ended. Indian cricketers were allowed to leave the secure bio-bubble to spend time alone following the ICC World Trials Championship final against New Zealand which ended on June 23.
