Wondolowski, Lewandowski’s awkward twin.
The first day of MLS was marked by one of the best goals of the weekend, scored by João Paulo, but also by one of the most beautiful failures. The master builder is named Chris Wondolowski, top scorer in the history of the North American championship with 166 goals.
In the match between the Houston Dynamo and the San Jose Earthquakes, the 38-year-old striker finds himself receiving a ball badly repelled by the Texas goalkeeper. Yet alone in front of the goal, Wondo prefers to place an outside of the right foot completely unscrewed which ends its course in the advertising panels. To top it off, we played the 83e minute and San José was led 2-1, unfortunately final score.
