« It’s a real sports campus », assured Pascale Mongereau, Cogedim business real estate director for the west of France, thursday 1er June 2023on the occasion of the inauguration of the project “Amazing Amazons & LAÔ” which integrates the UCPA Sport Station complex, which is scheduled to open on Saturday June 17. Nantes news was able to visit the premises.
Connect Malakoff and Euronantes
Located near the Petite Amazonie swimming pool, “Amazing Amazons and LAÔ” is an island linking the business district of Euronantes Beware of the residential area of Malakoff.

According Johanna Rollandpresent for the inauguration, this block « brings new activities thanks to the sports facilities of the UCPA, contributing to the life of the district which is also enriched by new inhabitants and employees with the installation of offices and the creation of nearly a hundred housing units accessible to the middle classes ».
This mix of populations and new activities contributes to making Euronantes a real place to live, while pursuing our ambition to forge links between the station district, Malakoff and the city center.
The project revolves around four buildings covering three complementary uses: Amazing Amazones for offices (occupied by GRDF, IWG, Regus and Leboncoin), LAÔ for housing (91 apartments ranging from T2 to T3), as well as the UCPA Sport Station I Nantes, sports multiplex designed and managed by the UCPA association group.

3,500m2 dedicated to sports
The UCPA Sport Station will therefore delight sports enthusiasts by being open seven days a week. With a surface area of 3,500 m2 and located on the ground floor of block 4B, the building also includes a restaurant.

In total, the complex consists of four courts of squashtwo lands of padela bouldering room, a space for climb fun, a cardio-musculation platform, four group lesson rooms fitness and two saunas.
Spaces open to each other
The architect, Samuel Delmas, wanted the spaces to be “covisible”. There are few walls at the UCPA. There are many bay windows, the aim being not only to bring in as much natural light as possible, but also to allow visitors to watch others play squash or paddle.

“It’s a station open to everyone, designed to live together through sport. We can meet there, relax and breathe alone, with family, with colleagues or in a group of friends, ”says Guillaume Légaut, director general of the UCPA.
As a reminder, a subscription, intended for young people from under 25 and job seekers, will be offered from 39.90 euros per month (with 12 month commitment).

At regular rate, the monthly subscription will be €49.90 (with 12 month commitment). It will take 10 euros more per subscription for a non-binding formula.
