Impact: goalkeeper Evan Bush traded to Whitecaps

MONTREAL – Thierry Henry said something about it during his post-game conference on Sunday; The Impact confirmed it on Monday: goaltender Evan Bush leaves the Montreal lineup for the Vancouver Whitecaps.

In return, the Impact got a third-round pick in the 2021 super-draft.

In a press release, the club’s sporting director, Olivier Renard, explained this transaction by the satisfaction the team receives from the trio of goalkeepers formed by Clément Diop, James Pantemis and Jonathan Sirois.

Renard will meet the media by video conference later Monday afternoon.

Bush was the last Impact player to have known the club during his years in USL, he who joined the Impact in 2011. In 10 seasons in Montreal, Bush played 195 season games, eight more in MLS playoffs, eight Canadian Championship games, as well as 13 CONCACAF Champions League games.
