Tampa Bay advanced to the NHL Eastern Conference Finals, knocking out Boston after a final 3-2 (overtime) win. In the West, Colorado returns to 2-3 in its series against Dallas after its 6-3 victory, thanks in particular to a goal from Pierre-Edouard Bellemare.
For the sixth time in its history, the Tampa Bay Lightning (created in 1992) will play in the Eastern Conference final. The Florida franchise eliminated Boston by a score of 4-1, after a final 3-2 victory (after overtime) on Monday. Palat (25th) and Cirelli (53rd) scored goals for the Lightning and Pastrmak (33rd) and Krejci (58th) for the Bruins in regulation time, and Hedman donned the hero costume for Tampa Bay, scoring the qualifying goal after 35 minutes of overtime. The Lightning will face the New York Islanders or the Philadelphia Flyers (3-1 for NY) in the final.

Bellemare striker, Colorado returns to the series
In the West, Dallas had a chance to advance to their first Conference Final since 2008, but the Stars lost 6-3 to Colorado, which is 2-3 in the series. Frenchman Pierre-Edouard Bellemere contributed to this Avalanche victory, opening the scoring in the 5th minute. Burakovsky (12th), MacKinnon (13th), Kadri (14th) and Rantanen (15th) allowed the Denver-based franchise to lead 5-0 at the end of the first third (unheard of in franchise history in play-offs). Pavelski (28th) and Heiskanen (38th) put the Stars back to 2-5, then Burakovsky gave the Avalanche four goals in the 39th, before Benn scored, for honor, in the 55th then that his team was double numerically outnumbered. Match 6 will take place on Wednesday.
Thank you, Bellemare!
