If the Philadelphia Flyers, winners of the New York Islanders, tied with a victory everywhere, the Tampa Bay Lightning strangled the Boston Bruins to take the advantage while the Colorado Avalanche knew how to accelerate late in the game to dominate the Dallas Stars for go ahead.

Everything has to be redone for the Islanders. Indeed, winner of Game 1 of the second round of the Stanley Cup 2020 play-offs in NHL, in the Eastern Conference, in Toronto, the New York-based franchise was therefore unable to continue. Indeed, it was the Philadelphia Flyers who managed to equalize, however, at the end of overtime (4-3). A particularly hooked meeting, even though Philadelphia certainly thought they had done the hardest part, when Kevin Hayes, twice, as well as Sean Couturier then allowed him to lead 3-0 at the end of the first period. Subsequently, the Flyers were no longer able to score and it was even their opponents who even ended up equalizing, thanks to Anders Lee, in the second period, then Anthony Beauvillier and Jean-Gabriel Pageau, in the third and last period. In the end, Philadelphia had the last word, thanks to Philippe Myers. The two franchises will not have time to procrastinate and will battle it out for a match 3, starting this Thursday.

Tampa Bay takes the hand

Defeated in Game 1 by the Boston Bruins, the Tampa Bay Lightning turned it around perfectly. In a one-sided game, the Floridians took the advantage in the middle of the first half. In fifteen seconds, Ondrej Palat in numerical superiority then Yanni Gourde made the break. Mikhail Sergachev widened the lead early in the second period on the power play before Brad Marchand took advantage of a « power play » to save the honor of the Bruins in the wake. The Tampa Bay players, however, resumed their march forward with a brace from Alex Killorn and a goal from Brayden Point before the end of the second period to further consolidate the Lightning’s dominance in this kickback. Nikita Kucherov sealed the fate of the game at the start of the last period for a clear victory (1-7) for Tampa Bay which goes ahead in the series.

Colorado looks up, Bellemare striker

If the Dallas Stars made the break in Game 2, the Colorado Avalanche haven’t said their last word. Tyler Seguin however opened the scoring in the middle of the first period for the Texans who then took a wave in the second period. Nikita Zadorov after the first minute of play then Andre Burakowski four minutes later and Gabriel Landeskog after eleven minutes put the Avalanche back downhill. But it was without counting on the will of the Dallas players to not let go. In the first ten minutes of the final third, Denis Gurianov, Blake Comeay and Jamie Benn sounded the charge for the Stars who regained the advantage on the scoreboard before sinking. In six minutes, Mikko Rantanen, Nazem Kadri and the French Pierre-Edouard Bellemare scored the three goals that allow Colorado to sign its first victory (4-6) in the series and to regain hope
