Like the Colorado Avalanche the day before against Dallas, Philadelphia and Vancouver also pulled off a Game 7 in their conference semifinals. The Flyers fell back to 3-3 against the NY Islanders after their 5-4 success after a double overtime while the Canucks and Frenchman Antoine Roussel crushed (4-0) the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
Two more conference semifinals from these decidedly exciting NHL play-offs will be decided in Game 7. Twenty-four hours after Colorado Avalanche and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare pushed the Dallas Stars to the deciding game, Philadelphia and Vancouver have also snatched the right to play a seventh and final game, chopper. However, if the Canucks and their Frenchman Antoine Roussel, also led a 3-1 time in the series, by Las Vegas, made short work (4-0) for the Golden Knights in Game 6 on Thursday in Edmonton, including three goals in the last period alone, by Miller, Hugues and Horvat (Virtanen opened the scoring in the 3rd minute) and 48 saves by their goalkeeper Thatcher Demko, the Flyers suffered greatly to survive against the New York Islanders.
When Mayfield’s misfortunes make Provorov happy
Philadelphia had to go through two overtime to overcome (5-4) the Islanders in Game 6 and at the same time deprive the New Yorkers of the qualification. The Flyers, led twice in this part, were also very scared, before their Russian defender Ivan Provorov scored the goal of deliverance, in the 95th minute of play. The two teams were then at 4-4, Raffl having responded to Lee then Laughton to Barzal. Note that on this shot which allowed him to offer against the course of the game a match 7 to his family, Provorov took advantage of the misfortunes of Scott Mayfield, whose butt broke and who then deflected the Russian’s attempt outside within reach of his guardian. There are days like that…
