In the final of the Western Conference, Dallas took control by winning in overtime against Las Vegas (3-2). With this success, the Stars now lead 2-1 in the series and take a small option on qualifying.

Dallas puts the pressure on Las Vegas. After winning the first game, then watching the Golden Knights tie, the Stars took the lead by defeating their opponents in overtime (3-2), on the night of Thursday to Friday. With this second success in Edmonton, the Texans now lead 2-1 in this Western Conference final in the NHL. Once again, the clash between the two teams was close and exciting. At first, Dallas and Las Vegas were level and could not decide between. It was also necessary to wait until the end of the second third to see Jamie Oleksiak (40th) open the scoring for the Stars. An advantage that did not last long because Shea Theodore (44th) equalized a few minutes later during the last third. But, again, the reaction was not long in coming.

Radulov frees the Stars

Indeed, again four minutes later, it was Jamie Benn who put Dallas in front of the scoreboard. Once again led, Las Vegas, which generally dominated this match and in particular this last period, got back to the score thanks to Alex Tuch (53rd). Still tied (2-2) at the end of regulation time, it was in overtime that the decision was made. In the exercise, it took Alexander Rabulov exactly 31 seconds to crucify the Golden Knights. Ideally served by Joe Pavelski on the right side, the Russian striker left helpless Robin Lehner no chance. Before Game 4 of this series in the NHL playoffs, Las Vegas is therefore under pressure by being down 2-1. On the other hand, the 3rd record in the West in the regular season can thank Rabulov for this victory. In the event of another success on Saturday, the Stars would get even closer to the final, they who have dreamed of a new Stanley Cup since 1999.
