Kevin Fiala is in sparkling form in the NHL. The St-Gallois scored two goals in Minnesota’s victory against Vancouver (6-3), on the night of Thursday to Friday. The man of the match opened the scoring in the 7th minute, before achieving a small masterpiece (personal solo around the opposing cage) for the 4-3 in the 48th minute.
Author of his 31st and 32nd goals of the season, Fiala now has 77 points and becomes the 5th player in Wild history in terms of the number of points scored in one exercise (77).
Another Swiss player distinguished himself on the NHL rinks on Thursday. Pius Suter provided two assists for his Detroit club, which lost 7-2 against Florida.
Best Swiss counter of the season in the NHL, Roman Josi delivered his 69th assist during the very precious success of the Predators (3-2 in front of Calgary) in the race for the play-offs. Nashville is six points clear on the bar. Less success for the other Swiss.
Nino Niederreiter remained silent during Carolina’s home success against Winnipeg (4-2) and Nico Hischier was also unable to increase his points capital during New Jersey’s defeat against Buffalo (2-5) . Same for Timo Meier, who did not score a point in San José’s success against Columbus (3-2).
