However, not all children are entitled to it. This aid will allow many families to benefit from a reduction, since 5.4 million young people are affected by this new measure. In which establishments can you use this assistance? How are you going to receive it?

How does the Pass’Sport allowance work?

A newcomer arrives among back-to-school allowances. But how exactly does the Pass’Sport work? What are the steps to take to benefit from it? Answer: you have absolutely nothing to do. From August 15, 2021, 3.3 million households will receive a letter from the Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports. This letter must be kept carefully; it is this letter that must be presented to the associations at the time of registration. By simply presenting this letter, you will immediately benefit from a reduction of 50 euros on the total amount of the registration fee. This can also relate to license fees or membership fees. As you will have understood, the allowance will not pass through the account of the beneficiaries, but will be directly transferred to the association which welcomes the child benefiting from the assistance. This initiative motivates many parents and children to register for a sporting activity during this new school year. So, has your child already chosen the sport they would like to play? If so, all you have to do is find a club or an affiliated association.

In which establishments and associations can this allowance be used?

Many establishments are eligible. An interactive map is available on the site www.sports.gouv.fr. Thus, many associations affiliated to a sports federation are concerned, but also associations located in priority neighborhoods without necessarily being affiliated to a federation. If your child is hesitant about the sport he wants to practice at the start of the school year, know that all these associations offer a free and non-binding session in order to allow the child to discover several sports and thus to choose in conscience. In addition, with regard to insurance, the club covers the child for any damage caused to him or to others. You have no additional costs to insure your child.
