Algeria Football – This Saturday, Riyad Mahrez added a new gem to his collection of trophies in England. With two titles won during his time at Leicester City and ten others won with Manchester City, he raised his total to twelve crowns on English soil. And the latest was acquired on this memorable day on Saturday.
Riyad Mahrez continues to establish himself as a true collector of trophies in England. This season, he has already added two titles to his list, that of the champion and the FA Cup, bringing his total to 10 trophies in just five years with Manchester City.
In his first season with the Citizens, Mahrez got off to a flying start winning four titles including the league and domestic cups. However, subsequent seasons were less successful in terms of titles, although Manchester City reclaimed the league title and League Cup in the 2019–20 fiscal year. Despite a disappointment in the Champions League final that year, Mahrez continued to shine on the pitch.
In 2022, with only the league title under his belt, Pep Guardiola and his players managed to retain their crown. Mahrez has already lifted two trophies this season, but he could add two more as Manchester City are in contention for the Champions League and Community Shield final. In total, since his debut with Leicester City, Mahrez has won 12 England titles, including one Championship, underlining his significant impact in English football.
