Horner fears Ferraris in Barcelona

If Red Bull had a slight advantage over Ferrari last weekend in Miami, especially on the straights, Christian Horner believes the balance could tip in favor of the Scuderia in Barcelona.

The Red Bull team principal agrees that the Ferrari F1-75 could be formidable in the fast curves of the Circuit de Catalunya.

 » In Miami, we had enough top speed to defend our position, which allowed Max [Verstappen] to pass Charles [Leclerc] then to stay ahead of the Grand Prix” comments Horner.

 » I think we had chosen the right balance in terms of set-up and straight-line speed. This circuit suited us, we managed to make everything work and left Miami with a very good result. But Barcelona will be a whole different challenge, believe me! With all those fast corners, we expect to come up against a very, very capable Ferrari. »

On the strength of his third victory of the season last Sunday in Miami, Max Verstappen returned to 19 points behind Charles Leclerc in the championship. Since Melbourne, the reigning Formula 1 world champion has cut his deficit on his Monegasque rival by half.
