Hockey: NHL players get closer to Beijing 2022 – rts.ch
The presence of NHL players at the Beijing 2022 Olympics is becoming more and more concrete. The executive committee of the players’ union has accepted the framework conditions. It is up to the players to express themselves by vote in the coming days. The union leadership has also approved the conduct of the end of the 2019-2020 season.
The President of the International Federation (IIHF), René Fasel welcomed the union’s decision. The next agreement between the players, the owners and the League is expected to result in the presence of NHL players at the 2022 and 2026 Olympics.
Once the contract is signed after the players vote, all that remains is to formalize the agreement between the IIHF, the IOC and the NHL. « We never gave up after Pyeongchang.
