His favorite teammate? LeBron snubbed by Dwyane Wade!

Over the course of his illustrious career, Dwyane Wade has been fortunate to wear the same jersey as many very big names. But against all odds, Flash’s all-time favorite teammate isn’t LeBron James… for one simple reason.

Time is passing. It’s been more than two years, already, that Dwyane Wade has definitely hung up the sneakers. On his record, several rings, a title of MVP of the Finals, countless All-Star selections and other rewards of all kinds. Living legend in Miami (we will gladly forget his visits to Cleveland and Chicago), Flash has rubbed shoulders with exceptional talents on South Beach.

We obviously think of LeBron James and Chris Bosh, with whom D-Wade formed the famous “Tres Amigos” from 2010 to 2014, the most emblematic period of his career. Yet the King, who is also a great friend of his, is not the favorite teammate the full-back has had in his career.

D-Wade lets go of his favorite teammate and snubs LeBron

On the « Live With Kelly and Ryan » show, Wade answered the thorny question:

Shaq. Shaq was a great teammate because I was young, and no one really knew who I was. Shaq pulled me aside and was like, « Yo, I’m gonna make someone out of you. » Whereas when LeBron arrived in Miami, I was already established.

The Shaquille O’Neal period, of course! Both men won a title in 2006, after a gargantuan performance by Wade in the Finals. If the Big Cactus was starting to decline, this duo remains an underside and has been very educational for the Chicago native, especially in terms of leadership and experience.

For the nostalgic, or for those who could not take advantage of the Diesel / Flash connection live at the time, here is a little reminder below:

Sorry LeBron, Dwyane Wade’s heart tips towards the Shaq. In many ways, the 2006 ring must have remained the prettiest for Flash…
