Henri Depireux is dead – The Team

Henri Depireux is dead. The former Belgian international, 2 selections, 78, died following a long illness that he had been fighting for years. Former coach of Red Star (1990) and Metz (1989), and many clubs in Belgium, a passionate and endearing character, he made a name for himself on the African continent after having been coach of Cameroon (1996-1997) or of the DRC Congo (2006-2007).

He also notably led the FAR of Rabat (1997-1998) with which he won a Throne Cup in 98 and won a place in the final of the African Cup of Cups the same year. As a player, this striker had won the title three times in Belgium with Standard de Liège (1969-1970-1971).
