heavy fine for OM and suspended closure of the Velodrome bends

Olympique de Marseille has been sanctioned with a suspended closure for a match of the North and South corners of the Vélodrome after the use of smoke bombs and lasers against Strasbourg at the end of the Ligue 1 season, announced the Football League professional Tuesday. The Marseille club must also pay a heavy fine of 130,000 euros, according to a decision of the disciplinary committee published by the LFP.

The members of the Dodgers had in particular cracked many smoke bombs in the middle of the second period to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the group of supporters installed in the North corner of the Velodrome, which had led to a brief interruption of the game while the fog dissipated.
