Garnet Hathaway agreed to a two-year, $4.75 million (average annual salary of $2.375 million) contract with the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.
The 31-year-old forward had 22 points (13 goals, nine assists) in 84 regular-season games with the Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals last season. He notably scored six points (four goals, two assists) in 25 games after being acquired by Boston on February 23.
He had one assist in seven first-round playoff games against the Florida Panthers.
Hired as a free agent by the Calgary Flames on April 13, 2015, Hathaway has 122 points (58 goals, 64 assists) in 457 regular season games with the Bruins, Capitals and Flames, as well as six points (three goals , three assists) in 31 playoff games.
