Former Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean plans to return to Le Mans in the near future, possibly as early as 2023.
If the 2022 calendar of the IndyCar championship will not allow him to commit to Le Mans this year, Romain Grosjean hopes to return to Sarthe for the 2023 edition of the most famous endurance event.
The new driver Andretti Autosport does not hide the fact that he covets a wheel in LMDH in order to try to add the 24 Hours of Le Mans to his prize list.
» I pray that the 2023 calendar is made so that I can race in IndyCar while being free for the 24 Hours of Le Mans confides Grosjean, who has already taken part in the Le Mans race once, in 2010 at the wheel of a Ford GT.
» I know LMDH is coming to Le Mans and I would love to be in one of those cars in 2023. It was one of the best races I’ve ever done in my racing career. I really want to go back there and I really hope that the schedule will be made so that I can race there. »
» In an ideal world, if the IndyCar calendar allows it, I would like to do the 24 Hours of Daytona, Sebring, Petit Le Mans and of course the 24 Hours of Le Mans! »
