After a revealing season in Ligue 2, Moussa Djitté has taken a new path in his career, leaving European football at the age of 21 for the attractive Major League Soccer (MLS). Not just any old way.
According to revelations made by Grenoble Foot Info, the young striker has become the biggest transfer made by Grenoble Foot 38 in the direction of the departures. Moussa Djitté, trained in Niarry Tally, was sold to Austin FC, a club playing in MLS after his first campaign in Ligue 2. The leaders of the Texan club have, in effect, fet, decided to get hold of the wallet to grab the player’s services.
According to the same source, Austin FC would have bought Moussa Djitté for three million US dollars, an amount of 2,528,505 euros. Arrived in the summer of 2019 from FC Sion, a Swiss club, for just under 100,000 €, Djitté has thus become the most expensive player sold by Grenoble. A sum which explains the good performances of the striker in the Stade des Alpes.
“This sale is an exceptional thing. If in two years we spend a million or two more and do not bring them in every year, we will have to resell to live. This is not a logic in which we want to go « , said the manager of Grenoble Foot 38 Max Marty.
