Giannis injured? The big concern of his coach
Giannis Antetokounmpo was not on the floor this Thursday to face the Raptors, the fault of a sore calf. Is his injury serious? It’s hard to say, but his coach Mike Budenholzer has expressed his concern to the media.
Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant were thought to be alone in another galaxy to compete for the title of Best Player on the Planet, but a double MVP, Defender of the Year and Finals MVP added to the conversation. For the past few weeks, Giannis Antetokounmpo has indeed been in the form of his life, with the culmination of his fabulous game-winner against the Hornets. After the meeting, he made a strange confession.

I’m getting old. I can’t dunk on others anymore. I must be smart.
Giannis touched in the calf, absence to come?
Giannis Antetokounmpo feels old, and who says old age means appearance of injuries. After forcing on the end of the game against the Hornets, which was necessary to secure the victory, the Greek Freak quickly felt that his body was struggling to take it. He was even left to rest this Thursday against the Raptors, the pain being too much. Mike Budenholzer has expressed his concern.
#Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer said Giannis Antetokounmpo felt the right calf and the next day or two are important to see how it feels.
“Hopefully it’s something very short term.”– Jim Owczarski (@JimOwczarski) December 3, 2021
Mike Budenholzer says Giannis Antetokounmpo felt discomfort in his right calf and the next two days will be important. « I hope it will be very short term ».
The reassuring thing is that Giannis Antetokounmpo was able to finish the match against LaMelo Ball and Charlotte, the hot pain was not so unbearable… What is worrying, however, is that the calf is one the most complicated muscles to heal. If the Greek Freak tries to pick up too soon it could totally tear itself apart and miss a long time.
This is what unfortunately lived Anthony davis last season… Affected in February in the Achilles tendon and calf, the interior of the Lakers was hampered until the playoffs, which put a brake on the dream of back to back of the Purple and Gold. Hopefully for the Bucks the injury of the last Finals MVP won’t be so long and so embarrassing.
Giannis Antetokounmpo was put to rest as a precaution following pain in the calf, but no one really knows the severity of the injury. Hopefully he will come back without making the situation worse.
