At 55, George Weah has not forgotten his reflexes as a former striker and proved it last Saturday.
On the sidelines of the gala match marking the inauguration of the « Invicible » sports park, built in Monrovia, the capital of Liberia, the 1995 Ballon d’Or distinguished itself through a sumptuous free kick played by two players which landed in the goals of the opposing team. Proof that the Liberian president has lost none of his talent as a footballer despite his advanced age.
The gala match, it should be remembered, saw the presence of big names in African football such as Jay-Jay Okocha, Emmanuel Adebayor, Asamoah Gyan, El Hadji Diouf, Kalilou Fadiga and many others.
